One of the main advantages of this unit is its longitudinal water resistance, supplied as standard, which guarantees that the fluid medium the unit is submerged in cannot penetrate through even though in a situation where the cable is damaged. In case of cable damage, the unit will remain completely functional and only the cable will be changed.

For hydrostatic pressure measurement the pressure compensation towards the atmosphere is done via the internally vented cable.
