The System 5000 takes a new approach to data logging. During setup, measurement parameters (Tasks) are assigned logical names such as WindSpeed or WaterDepth. Each named parameter is then assigned to a source such as an SDI-12 sensor or an A/D channel. Next, each named parameter is assigned to one or more outputs such as a log file, GOES radio or 4-20mA.

Logged data can be retrieved by using an SD card or USB thumb drive. The System 5000 can also be connected to a computer via USB and act as a mass storage device. Simply drag and drop the data files you want.

The plug-in option modules currently include:
