• Self Purging
• Ideal for high silt areas
• Reduced lag between water level rise and orifice pressure
• Long period unattended
• Low maintenance
• No bubble rates to set up
• No bubble rates to set up
• No desiccant or air dryers required
• Compact size
• Easy to install
The Nitro Model HS-35 is designed to be used with a GCO (Gas Chamber Orifice) and
replace conventional bubbler systems.
A dot point view of the product is as follows :
• Must be used with a GCO !!
• Can be used with any pressure transducer.
• Automatic Purge sequence :
1. Operate a 3 way valve to isolate the user’s pressure transducer.
2. Switch a valve to connect the dry N2 gas bottle to the GCO.
3. Purge for 1 secs.
4. Monitor the pressure for 25 secs.
5. Switch the valve back to connect the transducer to the GCO.
• Purge when :
1. Every 3 hours (fixed) and
2. When water level rises by more than 100mm (4 inches) or
3. Manual purge by operator.
• Falling water level – excess pressure vents automatically from GCO – no purging required.
• Pressure on transducer is held constant during a purge.
• Operates with a 12V 18Ah Battery, average consumption is 14mA (=> 50 days batt life - based on 7 x 3 hr purges and a 1m (3ft) water level rise per day)
• A small 5 Watt Solar panel is sufficient to keep the battery fully charged.
• Operates with up to 300m (900ft) of river line and 30m (100ft) head of water.
Power :
Operating Voltage : 12V DC Nominal
Recommended Battery : 12V DC Sealed Lead Acid (18Ah) (This will provide approx 50 days continuous operation.)
Low Battery cut-out : 10.0 V DC
Battery recharge recovery : 12.0V DC
Operation Range : Up to 30m (100ft) of water pressure head with a max of 300m (900ft) of river line
Purge :
Gas Line Solenoid Current : 0.6Amps for 1 sec
Solenoid Current : 0.6 Amps for 27 secs
Electronics Quiescent : 10 mA
Average battery consumption : 14mA continuous (based on 7 x 3hr purges and a 1m water level rise per day)
Solar : A small 5Watt solar panel is sufficient to keep the battery fully charged.
Purge Sequence : 1 secs - N2 gas valve 25 secs - solenoid valve
Once every 3 hours (fixed) and when the water level increases by 100mm or a manually initiated purge
