Used under a binocular dissection microscope, this durable device provides an accurate, simple way to count zooplankton as specified in Standard Methods. Precision-made in clear acrylic or PVC, it is easy to clean.

Both types have a 102 mm (4”) square acrylic base. Ship wt: 2 lb. Acrylic makes the most clear wheel for stereoscopic viewing with water solutions, but keep in mind that acrylic crazes (hairline surface cracks) with any alcohol. Choose clear PVC if you are using an alcohol preservative. It is slightly blue tinted and resistant to alcohol.

Acrylic is the clearer material, ideal for stereoscopic viewing with water, but it crazes (receives hairline surface cracks) with any alcohol, acetone or ketone.

Clear PVC is slightly blue tinted. It is less clear than acrylic but is resistant to alcohol.
